Coby has just complete a 1000 NM delivery from Albany WA to Port Lincoln SA On my 52C ex trawler.

From my first engagement over the phone, I knew from his attitude towards the boat and the trip which lay ahead that Coby was the right person to engage for the job.

His detailed inspection, trip planning and completion of paperwork prior to departure was first class, and of a highly professional standard. During the trip, daily updates were relayed and his approach to weather routing perfect. Once Coby reached port, his true professional and caring side showed.

The boat was washed down, cleaned and present as if it hadn’t left a dock. As a boat owner, entrusting another person to complete a delivery on your behalf means bestowing a great deal of confidence in them. Due to Coby’s highly professional seamanship and likeable manner I would highly recommend him to anyone wishing to engage his services.

After having owned my lovely converted 54' wooden Trawler for 22 years I decided that due to my age it would be appropriate if I sold her to a person who would be her custodian for the next chapter of her life. The purchaser lived in Sydney, so getting her from Augusta in Western Australia to her new home required some planning. A friend advised me that an Albany based mariner was very highly regarded so following that I contacted Coby Lane of Tearaway Marine in Albany.
I delivered my boat from Augusta to Albany and then Coby took her across the Great Australian Bight to Port Lincoln for the new owner to pick her up for the onward trip to Sydney.
My boat was 44 years old and had a number of idiosyncrasies.
When running through these with Coby I was very impressed that he picked up on them so quickly. He didn't need to be told twice.
Nearly 1,000 nautical miles later he delivered her on time and in an immaculate condition to Port Lincoln.
I can't recommend him too highly.
